Towards the end of 2006 I wrote my first book, Drunk In Charge Of A Foreign Language – The Diary Of A Spanish Misadventure. Being a shameless self-publicist I decided to set up my own website. Then I thought why not sell said book from the website as an electronic download while I wait for a real publisher to recognise the genius in my work and turn it into a bonafide physical lump of sustainable rain forest pulp.
And then!!! My genius was recognised. Much to the detriment of the smaller rain forest I became a proper published author on 10th December 2007. Drunk In Charge is available from this website and all good book shops, if it isn't you want to ask them why on earth not? Order it here by creating an account and using the Get Drunk! page. I was slaving away on a sequel of sorts to Drunk In Charge. Things change and time moves on, the subject matter didn't seem right anymore. Anyways, errr, yes. Enough of the excuses, although I'm not sure Ken Kesey ever wrote a second book (book dweebs, it's your chance to put me right).
I went off to Spain (again) in the summer with the future Mrs Rothwell 2.0 (We went nowhere near Seville and no, she isn't German) I'd hoped it might've got the creative juices flowing once more. Alas, I've discovered/realised that I really am a lazy bastard. There is a sequel in here somewhere, I'm just not sure how to coax it out.
